The design process may be new to you, I'm sure you have questions. Here are a few we hear often!
Q: Do I have to hire you to manage the whole project?
A: No, we are happy to work with clients in one of three ways, depending on the scope of the project: 1) E-Designs 2) Full Service Design or 3) Hourly. We can have as much or as little involvement as you'd like.
Q: Do I receive any of your design discounts?
A: We are proud to share our trade discounts with our clients. At anywhere from 10 to 30 percent, this is a savings that adds up; in fact, we have found that with a decisive client and efficient approvals, the discount structure can significantly offset fees.
Q: What do you cover in a one hour consultation?
A: One hour consultations vary depending on what you are looking for. The hour gives us an opportunity to get to know you and your space, how you use it and how you want to use it. We give advice as we walk through, take notes, photos and measurements so we can get to work soon after. We will then send you a scope of work as per our understanding. If you're just wanting advice on paint colours or looking to do a full reno, we find all of our clients get a lot out of our initial consultations.
Q: Can I book you hourly?
A: Yes! After the initial consultation you can book us hourly at a rate of $150/hour.
Q: How far in the future do I have to book you?
A: We love to stay busy and try and accommodate clients as soon as possible. Generally we can schedule initial consultations within 2 weeks of your inquiry.
Q: I'm thinking of renovating. How early in the project should I call you?
A: As soon as possible! It's always better for us to come in early in the project that way no budget or time is waste backtracking.
Q: Will you be able to recommend trades and contractors to work with?
A: Absolutely. We have a long list of trusted professionals that we would be happy to pass along to you to assist with your project.
